The Member of Parliament for the Agona East Constituency, Queenstar Pokuah Sawyerr, has donated mathematical sets to all Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) students in her constituency.
Addressing the students during the presentation, she explained that the initiative reflects her commitment to education and continues her long-standing annual tradition of supporting BECE candidates across the Agona East District.
She toured seven examination centres within the district, where she presented mathematical sets to all candidates.
Madam Pokuah Sawyerr encouraged the students and offered guidance and motivation in a motherly manner to strengthen their confidence ahead of the examinations.
She urged the students to study diligently and prepare well, reminding them that they should not rely on external help or become involved in examination malpractices.
She also advised them to avoid the use of "apor," pledging additional support for outstanding students.
Madam Pokuah Sawyerr announced to provide mattresses, chop boxes, and trunks to those who perform exceptionally in the examinations.
She also promised to organise a “Pens-Down” party for all BECE candidates after their exams.
