GESF announces mandatory registration, recognition, and accreditation directive

The Ghana Esports Federation (GESF) has issued a directive requiring all stakeholders within Ghana's rapidly expanding esports ecosystem to formally register with the federation.

This initiative is part of efforts to streamline governance and strengthen the national structure of the industry.

In the statement, GESF emphasised that it is the recognised national federation responsible for promoting and governing electronic sports in Ghana. It invited all stakeholders to register as part of ongoing efforts to structure, formalise, and strengthen the esports industry in the country.

The registration process is mandatory and aims to ensure proper recognition, accreditation, and authorisation to operate within the national esports framework.

GESF assured teams, associations, and organised entities that registration would serve as the basis for official accreditation and the granting of mandates to operate in the space. It will also facilitate monitoring, evaluation, and assessment purposes.

According to GESF, this initiative is designed to build a properly structured ecosystem, foster the standardisation of operations, and align all activities with national sports governance principles and international best practices. Furthermore, it will ensure compliance with the regulatory requirements established by GESF and relevant national authorities.

To complete the registration process, stakeholders are required to submit basic documentation and information. This includes, but is not limited to, valid entity registration documents, details about governance and management structure, and any other relevant information that GESF may request during the review process.

Registration can be completed via the official GESF website at [www.ghanaesportsfederation.org](http://www.ghanaesportsfederation.org).

GESF advised all stakeholders to treat this notice as urgent and comply within the stipulated period. It pointed out that all registered entities will receive an official Letter of Recognition from the Federation, serving as formal confirmation of their affiliation.

The Ghanaian esports ecosystem is entering a new phase of structured development, credibility, international competitiveness, and diplomacy.

GESF reassured stakeholders that cooperation and compliance are essential to achieving a unified, professionally governed, and globally aligned industry. The organisation remains committed to promoting a safe and healthy environment for all esports activities in Ghana.
