Veteran Kumawood actor Paa George has dismissed widespread rumours of his death, following false reports that circulated rapidly across social media on Tuesday, 3 March 2026.
The respected actor, who has been active in Ghana’s film industry since 1963, felt compelled to address the speculation after concerned fans began sharing unverified claims about his passing.
In response, Paa George personally contacted a blogger to set the record straight, confirming that he is alive and in good spirits.
The rumours gained significant attention, particularly among admirers who grew up watching him in numerous Kumawood productions. However, the seasoned actor has firmly rejected these claims, urging the public to disregard the misinformation.
At 85 years old, Paa George has previously been the subject of similar hoaxes, largely due to his age. In a past interview, he openly reflected on life and mortality, stating.
“I know that I’m definitely going to die. I asked for only 96 years on earth. I told God not to add anything to that duration. I must go and rest.”
Despite this philosophical outlook, the actor’s recent clarification makes it clear that he remains very much alive, putting to rest the latest wave of unfounded reports.
