Asante Kotoko apologises to fans after disappointing 2025/2026 season

The Board and Management of Asante Kotoko have expressed their disappointment following the conclusion of the 2025/2026 Premier League season, in which the club finished in eighth position.

According to Management, this outcome falls far below the standards, expectations and ambitions of our great club. They nonetheless acknowledge that football always offers another opportunity to rise again.

In a statement, Management said this season’s performance is one to forget, and stressed that, as a result, decisive measures will be taken to ensure the club returns to the level befitting its rich history and stature.

"We would also like to extend our deepest gratitude to our loyal supporters who travelled across the country and stood firmly behind the team throughout the campaign.

"Your unwavering commitment and passion remain the backbone of this club. We sincerely apologise for the disappointment and frustration coused by our performance this season," the statement acknowledged.

The Board further assured supporters that every effort will be made to restore Asante Kotoko to the summit of Ghanaian and African football once again.

The statement, signed and issued by the Board and Management, concluded that the team remain committed to building a stronger and more competitive squad capable of delivering the successes their supporters deserve.
