Rapper and songwriter Okyeame Kwame has opened up about the emotional impact Black Sherif had on him after listening to the song, "So It Goes".
Speaking about the experience, Okyeame Kwame revealed that he broke down in tears the very first time he heard the song, describing Black Sherif’s artistry as deeply moving and unmatched in Ghana’s music scene at the moment.
“The first time I heard the song, I cried. I was in the studio recording my song, Stop Galamsey.
"Before we started, Abochi played the song and it touched me deeply. I think the album had been out for only about two days,” he said.
According to the veteran rapper, one particular line in the song stayed with him and struck an emotional chord.
“If you see the light, remember I was with you’ Black Sherif’s music touches me in a different way. His songwriting style and his voice are very special,” he added.
Okyeame Kwame did not hold back in praising the award-winning musician, declaring Black Sherif as the artiste currently inspiring him the most in Ghana.
“The artiste exciting me the most right now is Black Sherif. I genuinely love what he is doing,” he stated.
