The Member of Parliament for Amenfi Central, Joana Gyan Cudjoe, announced that she officially ended her professional and contractual relationship with KECHE MUSIC GROUP/KECHE GLOBAL.

The relationship, which lasted from 2019 through to 2026, comes to a mutual end after the MP decided not to renew the agreement.

According to a statement issued by GEM MULTIMEDIA GHANA LTD on Monday, August 31, 2026, KECHE GLOBAL is therefore no longer under the management, representation, investment, or business operations of GEM MULTIMEDIA.

The statement detailed that, during the seven years, the MP served as Executive Producer and provided financial, professional, and personal support to the group. 

It emphasized that she was the sole investor supporting the project and invested resources in areas including "music recording and production, music videos, marketing and promotion, artist development, branding, photography, travel, performances, media promotion and management."

The statement pointed straight off to the change of the group's name from KECHE to KECHE GLOBAL as part of Madam Joana Gyan's vision of taking the group to a larger African and international audience.

Despite the end of the professional relationship, the statement stressed that the personal and family relationship remains intact, owing to Andrew Kofi Cudjoe being the husband of Joana Gyan Cudjoe.

Thus, KECHE GLOBAL will continue as a music group, with Andrew Kofi Cudjoe, known as Keche Andrew, and Joshua Kojo Ampah, known as Keche Joshua, continuing their musical journey together.

The statement clarified that the decision concerns only the "professional business relationship and does not signify an end to their marriage, family or personal relationship."

Going forward, the MP, who is also the founder of Golden Empire Legacy Ltd and Joana Gyan Foundation, disclosed that her companies will no longer be responsible for KECHE GLOBAL's management, financing, investment, promotion, executive production or business activities.

KECHE GLOBAL will be free to operate independently and choose its own management, investors, business partners, record companies, promoters, producers and other professionals.

It also called on fans in Ghana, Africa and around the world to continue supporting KECHE GLOBAL by streaming their music, watching their music videos, following their social-media platforms, attending their performances and supporting their future projects.

On music and creative rights, the statement said Madam Gyan does not want the announcement to create disputes over songs, recordings or creative works. It said any affected rights, interests or ownership arrangements would be handled professionally and according to applicable agreements and law.

The statement said she will now focus on new talent, new music, new stars, new businesses, investments, and opportunities, with GEM MULTIMEDIA GHANA LTD looking towards the next generation of African music and entertainment.

While bringing the professional partnership to an end, Joana Gyan Cudjoe expressed gratitude to Andrew Kofi Cudjoe and Joshua Kojo Ampah for the years, music, experiences, memories, and lessons, and wished KECHE GLOBAL peace, good health, happiness, and greater success.
