The family head of the late Ghanaian highlife legend Daddy Lumba, Abusuapanin Tupac, has reportedly been summoned by the Spiritual Overlord of the GaDangme people, Nuumo Borketey Laweh Tsuru XXXIII.
This summons comes amid growing concerns regarding the alleged burial site of the singer.
In a purported letter dated March 10, 2026, from the office of the Gborbu Wulomo-Shitse, Abusuapanin Tupac was requested to appear before the traditional authority on Friday, March 13, 2026.
This summons is thought to be connected to reports suggesting that the late musician was buried at his residence in East Legon, a situation that has raised alarms within sections of the GaDangme community.
Daddy Lumba, whose birth name was Charles Kwadwo Fosuh, passed away on July 26, 2025 at the age of 60.
The celebrated musician was survived by two wives: Akosua Serwaa, whom he married traditionally in 1991 and later under German civil law in 2004, and Priscilla Ofori Atta, popularly known as Odo Broni.
His funeral service was held on December 13, 2025 at Heroes Park, near the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi. However, weeks after the funeral, rumours began to circulate that the "Aben Wo Ha" hitmaker had been buried at his luxurious residence rather than at a cemetery.
In an interview with Ezra TV on 26 February 2026, Abusuapanin Tupac confirmed these claims, stating that the burial at the East Legon property was in accordance with the late musician’s final wish.
He further alleged that certain family members, who denied knowledge of the burial site, were being dishonest, insisting that the family was aware of the exact location of the late singer's remains.
According to the letter circulating on social media, the matter has been formally raised before the Gborbu Wulomo-Shitse, leading to the summons for Abusuapanin Tupac to appear and provide clarification in line with GaDangme customary protocols.
