The management of the Educate Africa Institute (EAI) has officially commended the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the Ghana Police Service for their professionalism, cooperation, and commitment to peace during the recent presidential primaries.
EAI acknowledged the proactive security measures implemented by the Ghana Police Service to maintain order and ensure a safe electoral environment across all polling centres.
According to the statement released on Tuesday, February 3, their preparedness and vigilance played a vital role in safeguarding the democratic process.
"We further extend our warm congratulations to Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia on his victory in the presidential primaries. His success reflects the confidence and trust reposed in him by party delegates."
Educate Africa Institute wishes him wisdom, strength, and clarity of purpose as he prepares for the 2028 general elections. We encourage a campaign anchored on peace, issues-based politics, and the collective development of Ghana," it acknowledged.
However, beyond the presence of security, the peaceful conduct witnessed was largely made possible by the discipline and law-abiding attitudes of NPP members.
The statement noted that, despite their large numbers, party supporters exercised restraint, demonstrated respect for the rule of law, and conducted themselves with a high level of maturity and responsibility.
It further stated that such obedience to lawful authority and orderly participation reflects political elitism, civic consciousness, and a deep respect for Ghana’s democracy.
EAI believes this conduct sets a strong national example and encourages all political parties and stakeholders to emulate this peaceful approach in future political activities and elections.
"Sustaining peace before, during, and after elections remains a collective responsibility, and it is only through cooperation and mutual respect that Ghana’s democracy will continue to thrive. We are one people. Ghana first," it concluded.
The statement was signed by William Boadi, Executive Director of the Educate Africa Institute (EAI), Educationist, Political Analyst, and Social Worker.
