Global InfoAnalytics: Bawumia to sweep 14 regions in NPP primaries

The Executive Director of Global InfoAnalytics, Mussa Dankwah, has projected that former Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia will secure victory in 14 of the 16 regions in the New Patriotic Party’s presidential primaries slated for Saturday, January 31.

He also forecasts a commanding win for Dr. Bawumia in the Ashanti Region, the party’s traditional stronghold.

Speaking on The Point of View on Channel One TV with Bernard Avle on Wednesday, January 28, Mr. Dankwah said all available indicators point to a clear win for the former Vice President.

“Yes, Bawumia will win in 14 out of the 16 regions,” he stated.

According to him, the data consistently supports a decisive outcome. “Every area we have examined points in one direction, and that direction is that Bawumia will win this Saturday’s election one-touch,” he noted.

Mr. Dankwah disclosed that Global InfoAnalytics’ predictive model places Dr. Bawumia’s vote share between 54 and 60 percent, factoring in a three percent margin of error.

“Based on our model, his lowest possible outcome is 54 percent, which is the projected 57 percent minus the three percent margin of error, while the upper range is 60 percent,” he explained.

He attributed the confidence in the projection to the stability of the data, stressing that there is minimal variability. “I am very confident in Bawumia’s numbers because they are stable and free from noise,” he added.

While acknowledging that other contenders, including Dr. Bryan Acheampong and Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, could make gains, Mr. Dankwah noted that how votes may be split among them remains unclear.

The NPP 2026 Presidential Primaries Prediction Survey was conducted nationwide between January 20 and January 23, 2026, covering all 16 regions and 272 constituencies, with a total sample size of 10,133 respondents.
