The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) in Tema has commenced body and document inspections for shortlisted applicants as part of its ongoing recruitment exercise.
The three-day exercise, which constitutes the second phase of the recruitment process, began on Thursday, January 22, and has been conducted in an orderly and efficient manner.
A total of 1,000 applicants were screened, with 500 individuals undergoing the process in the morning session and another 500 in the afternoon.
Speaking to the media, the Tema Regional Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the Ghana Fire Service, DOII Ebenezer Yenzo, stated that the exercise has been smooth, well-organised, and incident-free, with no casualties recorded.
"As you can see the process starts in the morning at 7 and we're serving everyone which has made them feel relaxed.
"And we're looking at that, everyone that comes first will be served first; when you arrive on time, you'll be served on time.
"In the morning session, the team has divided the screening into two parts, expecting 500 applicants in each session.
"We’ll still continue tomorrow and Saturday, and if we're able to exhaust our numbers, then we’ll bring everything to an end on Saturday.
However, we're hoping to exhaust it before Saturday, and as you can see, with the process we've started, everyone will be served," he assured.
