“We will do everything possible to ensure students don't get "apor" - Prof Kofi Davis

The Director-General of the Ghana Education Service, Prof Ernest Kofi Davis, has stated that his outfit will do everything possible to ensure that “apor” or any other foreign tool does not find its way into the examination hall.

Speaking to the media, he cautioned students ahead of the May 2026 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) not to expect external help during the examinations, but instead to study diligently on their own.

“They should not expect external help or ‘apor’ in the exams room because we will do everything possible to ensure that students don't get ‘apor,’ it doesn't find its way into the exams hall,” he stated.

He urged all students to prepare thoroughly for the examination, adding that there is no reason for them to panic, fear, or feel anxious, as the questions will come from the syllabus or curriculum and will fall within their experience.

“I urge all students to prepare very well for the examination.

"There is no need for students to panic, or fear, or be anxious because the questions will definitely come from the syllabus or the curriculum, the questions will therefore be within their experience,” he uttered.”
