The Nkwanta Divisional Police Command has intercepted a cargo truck with a brand-new pump-action gun and hundreds of rounds of ammunition this morning, April 29.
The said truck, with registration number GW 9927-13, was travelling from Accra to Damanko in the Nkwanta North District in the Oti Region.

According to the police, the ammunition contained 7,000 pieces of AA cartridges and 3,000 pieces of BB cartridges, including 1 brand new pump action gun.
The suspects are Richard Kpimbi, 27, the driver, and Latif Adam, 20, the mate. They are currently in police custody at Nkwanta Police Station pending further investigations to apprehend the owner of the ammunition.

The Nkwanta Divisional Police Command has taken charge of the truck and the ammunition, pending directives from the Regional Command.
