The Ghana Police Service has arrested two individuals in connection with the disappearance of a married couple, Dr Jesse Amuah and Mrs Elizabeth Esi Amuah, who have been missing in Accra for over a month under unclear circumstances.
The couple was last reportedly seen on March 23, 2026, and has since remained unreachable, prompting growing concern from relatives and associates.
A formal complaint was lodged with the Police on April 22, 2026, after repeated attempts to contact the couple failed. Investigators say their residence was discovered locked, while their Nissan Sunny saloon car with registration number GX 159-X was also missing from the premises.
Following the report, the Ghana Police Service launched a full-scale investigation involving the Missing Persons Unit, the Anti-Armed Robbery Unit, and the Crime Scene Management Team.
Officers have since visited the couple’s home and pursued multiple investigative leads as part of efforts to establish their whereabouts and the circumstances surrounding their disappearance.
The coordinated operation has so far led to the arrest of two suspects, whose identities have been withheld as investigations continue.
Police say the suspects are currently assisting with investigations as detectives intensify efforts to trace the missing couple.
Authorities have renewed their appeal to the public to provide any credible information that could assist in locating Dr and Mrs Amuah.
The Police have urged anyone with relevant details to report to the nearest police station to aid ongoing investigations.
