The Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA) has commenced inspections of food, beverage, and entertainment establishments across the Greater Accra Region.
The exercise was announced in the Authority’s statement as part of ongoing efforts to ensure that all facilities comply with established public health, safety, and operational standards.
According to GTA, the inspection will cover traditional catering enterprises including chop bars, food vendors, drinking bars, pubs, fast food joints, snack bars, and outdoor catering services.
The Authority urged operators to cooperate fully with inspectors throughout the exercise, noting that the inspectors “will carry valid indentify action cards for verification purpose.”
It further encouraged operators to ensure their licences and relevant operational documents remain valid.
