Accra to host 6th Global Women’s Professional & Business Exchange Conference

Accra is set to welcome influential women leaders from across the world as the 6th Global Women’s Professional & Business Exchange Conference returns to Ghana later this year.

The three-day international event, organised by the U.S.–Ghana Chamber of Commerce, will take place from May 26 to 28, 2026 at Wesley Towers.

Held under the theme “Global Women, Shared Power: Leading Across Borders – Connect. Exchange. Rise.”, the conference is expected to bring together a diverse network of women executives, entrepreneurs, policymakers, investors and emerging leaders for discussions focused on leadership, innovation and global partnerships.

Platform for global collaboration

Organisers say the conference will feature high-level plenary sessions with global thought leaders, alongside executive roundtables and breakout sessions aimed at driving business development and investment opportunities.

Participants will also benefit from mentorship programmes designed to connect young professionals with experienced industry leaders, as well as networking sessions involving corporations, investors and institutions from different parts of the world.

In addition, exhibitions will showcase women-led businesses and innovations, highlighting the growing role of women in driving economic transformation.

Focus on impact and inclusion

Beyond business, the conference will address broader issues including mental health, work-life balance, inclusive economic growth, and the role of women in emerging sectors such as technology, energy, finance and trade.

The event will climax with a Global Women’s Awards and Fundraising Gala to support paediatric cancer care and sickle cell disease awareness and treatment initiatives in Ghana.

“A movement, not just an event”

President of the Chamber, Florence Torson-Hart, described the conference as a transformative platform.

“This conference is more than an event; it is a movement. We are bringing together global women leaders to not only exchange ideas, but to build partnerships that will shape economies, transform communities, and create lasting generational impact,” she said.

Broad participation expected

The conference is open to women business leaders, corporate organisations, investors, government officials, development partners, NGOs and young professionals seeking to expand their networks and influence.

Early registration and sponsorship opportunities are currently open, with organisers encouraging stakeholders to secure participation ahead of the event.
