Gospel musician Great Ampong has clarified that his past comments about highlife legend Daddy Lumba were solely about a financial dispute and not meant to be disrespectful.
In an interview, Ampong explained he was demanding money he believed was owed to him and didn't insult the late musician.
"I never bad-mouthed Daddy Lumba; I was just demanding my money. If I had said anything unwarranted, I'd regret it now," he said.
Ampong declined to share if the debt was settled, saying he closed the matter publicly in 2023 and won't revisit it.
