A renowned dancehall artist, Livingstone Etse Satekla, popularly known as Stonebwoy, has stated that his mother's ghost will kill him if he suddenly began to smile with Shatta Wale.
In a recent interview, he emphasised that matters like the one between himself and Shatta Wale require proper reconciliation, not a sudden, token hug.
He explained that on many occasions Shatta Wale has insulted his family, which includes his mother, his wife, his children and himself, as well as people around him. For that reason, people should not consider a hug alone to be reconciliation, noting if someone actually enjoys the feud.
"On the reconciliation side I think that there something that we are all missing here somewhere in the 2000s I remember they set up a committee where cases are brought to address so that they reconcile. Let no one think suddenly a fight started and suddenly we are reconciling unless you don't actually want the peace or reconciliation but actually enjoying whatever is going on.
"We should look into the matter and look into the root cause, I have been attacked for the past whatever they can justify it as part of marketing, they have insulted my wife, my mother, my in-laws myself," he stated.
Stonebwoy urged that people examine the root of the problem rather than accept such behaviour as ordinary. He noted that well-trained people consider carefully what they say or do beforehand, and some things cannot be justified as marketing.
He said the dispute needs a proper reconciliation in which Shatta Wale accepts fault and apologises before any genuine rapprochement can occur.
He added that if he agreed to hug Shatta Wale he would accept reconciliation, provided the proper procedures were followed.
"Do people take all these insults as a normal thing? After all these rivalry issues do you believe you can just say just hug yourself and let move forward no if you do that then you want to show that, that will not work," he uttered.
