Two people are feared dead following a helicopter crash that reportedly occurred and caught fire at the premises of the Tema TMA Day Care Centre in Tema.
The crash took place on Monday, March 16, in the afternoon, drawing shock and panic in the area. Residents and workers nearby rushed to the scene after witnessing the aircraft go down.
According to eyewitnesses, the helicopter erupted in flames shortly after impact, leaving the two occupants, believed to have been on board, badly burnt. Their identities were not immediately known at the time of this report.
Reports indicate that authorities are yet to confirm the cause of the crash.
Emergency teams were swiftly dispatched to the scene to manage the situation, and personnel from the Ghana National Fire Service, along with other security agencies, worked to extinguish the fire and secure the crash site as investigations commence.
