President John Dramani Mahama has extended warm greetings to all Muslims in Ghana as they commemorate the holy month of Ramadan.
In his message, President Mahama emphasised that Ramadan is a special month dedicated to purification and deepening one’s faith.
“As Muslims begin their fast, may their hearts be purified, and their iman be accepted. May Allah, the Most Merciful, grant you good health, peace of mind, and abundant mercy throughout these 30 days of fasting,” he stated.
He highlighted the significance of prayers during this holy month, wishing that their prayers be answered and good deeds rewarded.
In his address, President Mahama also reminded Muslims that the essence of Ramadan transcends mere abstinence from food.
“As you break your fast each evening with family and friends, remember that the true beauty of Ramadan lies not just in abstaining from food, but in the discipline, compassion and generosity we show to all,” he advised.
Concluding his message, he expressed heartfelt wishes for a spiritually fulfilling Ramadan.
“From my family, we wish you a spiritually fulfilled and blessed Ramadan Mubarak. May Allah accept your worship,” he added.
