President John Dramani Mahama has conveyed a Valentine’s Day greeting to the widows of eight people who lost their lives in the helicopter accident on August 6, 2025.
Across the globe, as Valentine’s Day was observed on Saturday, February 14, Mr Mahama extended his sympathies and warm wishes to the grieving women, seeking to offer comfort and to brighten their day.
In a post on his Facebook page, the President shared a group photograph of the widows, added heart emojis and simply wrote: “Happy Valentine’s Day.”
Those who died in the crash were: "Dr. Edward Omane Boamah, Minister for Defence
"Ibrahim Murtala Muhammed, Minister for Environment, Science and Technology
"Muniru Mohammed Limuna, Acting Deputy National Security Coordinator.
"Samuel Sarpong, NDC Vice-Chair.
"Samuel Aboagye, former parliamentary candidate.
"Squadron Leader Peter Bafemi Anala, pilot.
"Flying Officer Manaen Twum Ampadu, co-pilot.
"Sergeant Ernest Addo Mensah, flight technician."
