Ambassadors-designate appointed by President John Dramani Mahama have pledged to attract foreign investment and strengthen international partnerships to advance the government’s reset agenda.
They said they would collaborate with Ghana’s development partners in their respective countries of accreditation to secure investments for key government initiatives, including the Big Push infrastructure programme and the 24-hour economy policy.
The Ambassador-designate to the Republic of Angola, Her Excellency Nana Antwiwaa Dodoo, gave the assurance during a commissioning ceremony, where she outlined her commitment to serving the country.
She pledged to discharge her diplomatic responsibilities with dedication, selflessness and integrity, stressing the importance of using Ghana’s diplomatic missions to advance the country’s development priorities.
According to the ambassadors-designate, their appointments represent more than positions of honour, carrying a responsibility to help implement President Mahama’s vision of resetting the country.
Their pledge places investment mobilisation and international cooperation at the centre of Ghana’s diplomatic engagement, particularly as the government seeks partnerships to support infrastructure development, economic growth and the implementation of its flagship policies.
The success of the commitment will depend on how effectively Ghana’s diplomatic missions translate international relationships into tangible investments and development opportunities for the country.
