''Kennedy Agyapong has not resigned from NPP'' – Kwasi Kwarteng

By: Emmanuel Bekoe

NPP communication team member Kwasi Kwarteng has dismissed viral claims that Kennedy Agyapong resigned from the party, calling the reports false.

Social media posts headlined “Kennedy Agyapong resigns from NPP with immediate effect” claimed he had shocked the party by submitting a resignation letter to National Chairman John Boadu.

Mr. Kwarteng, a legal practitioner, responded swiftly in a social media post, rejecting the reports. He said Mr. Agyapong, popularly known as Ken Ohene Agyapong, is currently in China on business.

According to Mr. Kwarteng, Mr. Agyapong has not submitted a letter of resignation from the New Patriotic Party to anyone. He urged the public to disregard the reports circulating online.

The claim spread widely on social media, where unverified headlines about prominent political figures often gain traction before official clarification.

The party’s response came directly from its communication team, which moved quickly to settle the matter.
