Teria Foundation announces nominees for 6th Africa Early Childhood Education Awards

Teria Foundation, organiser of the Africa Early Childhood Education Awards, has announced the nominees for the sixth edition, now part of EarlyFest, the Early Childhood Education Festival.

The awards celebrate individuals and institutions making meaningful contributions to education and to the development of children and young people across Africa.

The nominees include candidates from Kenya and Ghana. The Kenyan nominees are Gladys Njeri, Radio 47, Queen’s View Academy, Dr Hamisi Babusa and Ali Kaulen Hassan.

Ghanaian nominees are Walter Dzah (SATOC Academy); Prof. Dr Angela Waheed; Dr Prince Waheed Musah (Humanity Intellectual Academy); Wasamiatu Humani Dimah Ali; and Dr Patrick Essien.

Mary Nyamekye Asamoah of Ghana will receive a Special Honour in recognition of her contribution to and support for secondary school education.

According to the organisers, the final winners will be announced at the main awards ceremony on November 21, 2026 in Accra, Ghana, as part of EarlyFest.

Teria Foundation congratulated all the nominees and expressed its anticipation of celebrating their achievements.
