One person dies as GNFS responds to head-on Collision along Kasoa–Winneba road

The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) has confirmed one death following a head-on collision involving a water tanker and a Toyota Voxy at Tipper Junction along the Kasoa–Winneba road on Saturday, August 15, 2026.

According to the GNFS, a rescue team from the Buduburam Fire Station evacuated eight injured people and conveyed them to the Mother and Child Hospital in Kasoa for treatment.

The GNFS reported extensive damage to the Toyota Voxy’s engine compartment, while the water tanker also sustained partial damage. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
