The Member of Parliament (MP) for the Ashaiman Constituency, Ernest Norgbey, recently inspected several ongoing development projects across the constituency, as part of his efforts to ensure timely completion and value for money.
The projects inspected included drainage systems and school infrastructure works. These drainage projects, facilitated through the MP's office, are expected to be completed within the next few months, paving the way for road construction.
Accompanied by Assembly Members, Honourable Norgbey toured active drainage works at Fitter Line, Tulaku, Christian Village, Afariwa, and Lebanon Zones Two and Four.
Speaking to the media during the inspection tour, the MP stressed that all drainage projects will be followed by major road construction works. He emphasised that no drainage project in the constituency will be left without corresponding road development.
Honourable Norgbey assured residents that Ashaiman will soon experience significant improvements in its road network, adding that the developments will befit the status of the constituency.
"We went to Tulaku area where we saw massive works, drainage systems being constructed, and road construction underway. We want to say with authority that everywhere we see drains, there will be road construction; it's not only about the construction of drains and leaving everything as it is.
"But now we're going to make sure that everywhere that we construct drains, it'll be sealed, I mean coated. So we went to Tulaku and saw the massive work there; I mean all the access roads of Tulaku will receive a facelift," he said.
Touching on abandoned projects at the Ashaiman Senior High School, the MP disclosed that he has engaged the Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFund) to facilitate the completion of the stalled projects.
