The Member of Parliament for Gomoa Central, Kwame Asare Obeng (A-Plus), has described the Central Regional NDC chairman, Dr. Richard Kofi Asiedu’s apology to Obaatanpa Radio and the media as a demonstration of leadership.
Speaking to the media, he said the chairman had done more than the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) asked of him, adding that the gesture showed he is a gentleman and a humble leader whom the media can work with.
“He has done more than the GJA demanded of him, he has shown clearly that he is a gentleman, he has shown that he is a very humble man and somebody that the media can work with, and these are the people that we have to promote and the people that we have to support in our system.
He added that such incidents are bound to happen and the important thing is how leaders respond to resolve them. He said leaders do not seek to destroy people but to help them grow and develop.
“You see in life you don't know where the 'Gbeshe' will come from but it is part of this life that we are living, I keep telling people that the whole life we are living is somebody's script, we are just actors.
“We don't seek to destroy people in fact we seek to help people to grow, to develop and when it happened the chairman himself called me and said this is what has happened and we have to find a way to handle it because we are in leadership positions,” he said.
