Staff of Ghana National Gas Limited Company (Ghana Gas) have participated in the nationwide National Clean-Up Exercise, undertaking sanitation activities across the company’s headquarters and operational sites.
Employees turned out in large numbers to sweep, weed, cut overgrown grass, clear curbs and desilt drains within and around their work areas as part of efforts to promote cleaner and healthier communities.
The exercise forms part of the National Clean-Up Campaign initiated by President John Dramani Mahama under the theme: “Our Action, Our Future: Cleaning Ghana After the Floods.” The initiative aims to restore communities affected by flooding while encouraging citizens and institutions to take greater responsibility for environmental protection.
The clean-up exercise at the Ghana Gas Head Office was joined by the Member of Parliament for Ayawaso West Wuogon, Hon. John Dumelo, who participated alongside management and staff of the company.
Ghana Gas said its participation reflects its commitment to supporting national efforts aimed at improving environmental sanitation, safeguarding public health and promoting sustainable practices.
The company also urged Ghanaians to actively contribute to maintaining clean and safe communities by adopting responsible waste disposal habits and supporting sanitation initiatives.
The nationwide exercise brought together public institutions, private organisations and citizens as part of a collective response to address sanitation challenges and reduce the impact of environmental neglect.
