Midfielder Thomas Partey has been awarded the JAC Motors Most Valuable Player (MVP) prize following his standout performance in Ghana’s 0-0 draw with England in the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The official vehicle partner of the Ghana Football Association (Ghana Football Association), JAC Motors, presented the award after Partey played the full 90 minutes in a disciplined midfield display against the Three Lions in Boston.

The Black Stars, coached by Carlos Queiroz, produced a solid defensive performance to secure a point against England, building on their opening 4-point tally after a victory over Panama in their first group match.

Partey’s performance was judged the most influential on the pitch, earning him the Man of the Match honour and the accompanying JAC Motors MVP award.

He received a commemorative plaque alongside a cash prize of $2,000 from the GFA’s technical and awards committee.

The midfielder’s return to the squad was seen as a major boost for Ghana, with his control in midfield helping stabilize play against England’s attacking threats.

JAC Motors has confirmed it will continue to reward standout performers in Ghana’s World Cup campaign, including the upcoming group match against Croatia on Sunday, June 27, as well as subsequent Black Stars fixtures.
