Anyaa Sowutuom Assembly Member, Hamza Abubakar Sumaila, has expressed confidence in the progress of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), noting that the atmosphere has been peaceful.
He stated that ensuring peace during elections is a core responsibility of his role. Sumaila disclosed that the security services, alongside the Electoral Commission (EC) and various stakeholders, have collaborated effectively to guarantee a free and fair election process.
"I have observed very closely what is going on. As part of our duty as an Assemblyman, for any election that is held, we have the internet to ensure that the peaceful and security aspects are responding very well.
"We thank the Security Services, the Electoral Commission, who have come together, and the stakeholders who are truly cooperating and participating.
"Everything is going on well, and I'm sure by the close of the day, the winner will be declared," he stated.
