NPP Central Regional Organizer calls for caution among religious leaders regarding election prophecies

The Central Regional Organizer for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Anthony Kwasi Sackey, has issued a direct call to action for religious leaders, particularly those making predictions about the nation's electoral future.

Hon. Sackey expressed concern that some predictions are painting a picture of widespread controversy and disorder at various polling stations. He believes these "fake prophecies" are not only misleading but also detrimental.

He urged pastors and prophets to exercise extreme caution and "watch their tongues" when it comes to prophesying election-related chaos, especially concerning the upcoming NPP presidential primaries.

"I'm the one to judge a prophet when you look at what is going on and what they said and they should not prophesise that the ongoing election there'll be chaos but so far it should be peaceful.

"So we're pleading with the Ghanaian prophets that even though God has called them, they should minimise it for us. When we start prophesying this way, then we're rather involving them, but so far so good, nothing has happened, no chaos and noise," he stated.

He emphatically asserted that the NPP is poised to surprise Ghanaians with a remarkably peaceful and orderly election process, thereby aiming to "shame" those who are peddling what he described as false narratives about the NPP flagbearer position and the overall election environment.
