Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Christian Tetteh Yohuno, on January 27, 2026, promoted 17 police officers in recognition of their outstanding professionalism and dedication to duty.
These officers were honoured for their roles in separate operations that led to the interception of 10 wrapped slabs of substances suspected to be cocaine, valued at approximately GH¢1,032,650.
In addition, sacks of suspected narcotic drugs were also retrieved in Ho, Volta Region.
Others were recognised for the recovery of an AK-47 rifle, a pump-action gun, and eight live AAA ammunition during a routine patrol at Jacobu.
