Ghanaian award-winning rapper M.anifest has been confirmed as part of the entertainment programme accompanying FIFA World Cup 2026 celebrations in New York and New Jersey.
He appears to be the sole Ghanaian artist included on the extensive bill for the cultural and music festival, Wyclef Jean’s Carnival 65, which forms part of the official World Cup fan experience in Queens, New York.
M.anifest posted the announcement on his official Facebook page with the caption: “New York. World Cup ⚽️ See you soon 👊🏿🇬🇭🇺🇸,” thereby confirming his involvement in the international event.
Promotional material indicates the festival will run from 11 to 27 June 2026 and will take place across multiple venues in Queens, including the Queens Museum, Queens Public Library, The Lay Out Cafe, Erzulie, Record Room and the USTA Billie Jean King Tennis Center at Flushing Meadows Park.
The programme will include FIFA World Cup 2026 watch parties, live musical performances, NYCFC-related activities and small-sided football sessions, all designed to celebrate football, culture and global music.
M.anifest will perform alongside an international cadre of artists and personalities such as Wyclef Jean, Nas, Busta Rhymes, Ella Mai and Brazilian football icon Ronaldinho.
Additional performers listed on the flyer include Juls, Nina Sky, Crystal Waters, Shermology, Erick the Architect and a selection of international DJs and entertainers.
The announcement has prompted enthusiasm among Ghanaian music followers on social media, many of whom have commended M.anifest for representing Ghana on a prominent international stage.
The FIFA World Cup 2026, to be jointly hosted by the United States, Canada and Mexico, is expected to draw millions of supporters worldwide, with host cities staging cultural festivals, concerts and fan engagement initiatives alongside the tournament.
