CAGD confirms arrears payments to education and health workers will follow approved schedule

The Controller and Accountant‑General’s Department (CAGD), has confirmed that payments of arrears owed to affected education and health workers dating back to August 2024, have begun and will be completed according to an approved schedule.

In a statement signed by the head of public relations of CAGD, Cephas N. Dosoo, set out the payment months as May, June, July and August, noting that the first tranche will be completed by Friday, May 29, 2026.

The department added that the remaining tranches will be disbursed in line with the published timetable.

CAGD thanked beneficiaries for their patience and forbearance and reassured them that the process will proceed as planned.
