GRIDCo announces emergency maintenance at Smelter II Substation in Tema

The Ghana Grid Company Limited (GRIDCo) has announced that it will carry out emergency maintenance work at the Smelter II Substation in Tema on Wednesday, May 27, 2026.

This announcement was made in a statement by the Corporate Communications Section, GRIDCo, to strengthen power supply reliability and enhance the resilience of the transmission network.

The Company noted that some customers and residents within the Tema outskirts will experience a temporary interruption in electricity supply from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May, 27, 2026.

GRIDCo also expressed regret for the inconvenience the exercise may cause, assuring the public that its teams will work diligently to restore power supply promptly.
