GRA grants a 2-month amnesty to users of uncustomed vehicles effective June 1 to July 31, 2026

The Customs Division of the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) has granted two (2) month amnesty to users of uncustomed vehicles effective June 1 to July 31, 2026.

In a statement by the Authority, the move is intended to waive all penalties that would have otherwise been imposed if such vehicles were impounded by the Customs Division.

GRA noted that on Friday, July 31, 2026, the Customs Division will undertake a nationwide unannounced inspection of vehicles on the roads and impound all uncustomed vehicles.

The Authority also encouraged users of uncustomed vehicles to take advantage of the opportunity to regularize documentation of vehicles that were illegally imported into the country.
