Ghana’s U-20 women’s national team, the Black Princesses, have been handed a challenging group at the 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup after being drawn alongside France, Korea Republic and Ecuador in Group C.

The draw for the tournament was held in Poland on Friday, May 15, ahead of the competition scheduled for September 5 to 27, 2026.

The Black Princesses will come up against European powerhouse France women's national under-20 football team, Asian side South Korea women's national under-20 football team and South American representatives Ecuador women's national under-20 football team in what is expected to be a highly competitive group.

The upcoming tournament marks Ghana’s eighth consecutive appearance at the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup, underlining the country’s consistency at youth level on the global stage.

Despite their regular appearances, the Black Princesses are yet to progress beyond the group phase of the competition and will be hoping to make history in Poland.

The tournament will be hosted in Poland from September 5 to September 27, 2026.
