A devastating fire has ravaged the Kwadaso Nsuom area in the Ashanti Region, leaving a trail of destruction, with over 50 cars and more than 10 shops burnt to ashes.

The fire, which broke out in the late hours of Sunday, January 25, 2026, is believed to have originated from one of the shops in the area.

One of the affected shop owners, Mr. Adams, expressed his disappointment with the fire service's response. He stated that despite the proximity of the fire station, the team claimed they had no available vehicles to dispatch to the scene.

"What happened to us was very bad; it happened around 7:30, and so far, a lot of people's cars have been burnt. And in all, the fire service really disappointed us.

"We called them, and they told us that there's no car to dispatch to the scene," he said, highlighting the urgent need for support.
