McBrown blasts Ghanaian bloggers for alleged privacy invasion

Actress Nana Ama McBrown has criticised some Ghanaian bloggers, accusing them of invading her privacy during the 60th birthday celebration of Dr Ernest Ofori Sarpong.

Chairman of the Special Group of Companies, Dr Ernest Ofori Sarpong, marked his milestone birthday on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, with a distinguished dinner attended by top celebrities, political figures, and business moguls.

During the event, McBrown voiced her frustration over the conduct of some bloggers and content creators, who crowded around her with cameras while she was enjoying the occasion.

In a viral video, Nana Ama McBrown condemned the bloggers’ behaviour, saying they intrude on her space and rarely support her work and endorsements.

“You see me selling American Fresh detergent and McBrown Sunflower. When you see me at Kantamanto and Kejetia promoting products, you see the videos on social media, but you don’t repost them, so I know how you think about me,” she stated.

She later became more visibly annoyed after some bloggers allegedly interrupted her while she was speaking.

“You people should keep your mouths shut! When we spend money to dress well and attend programmes, you want to push cameras into our faces, but when we are working, you people don’t pay attention to what we do.

"I work with so many brands to market their products, but I never see you reposting my updates. If you cannot support my work, then this should be the last time bloggers surround me at an event. Next time, I may hit someone,” she warned.
