The Vice President of Miss Grand Ghana, Zahara-Imani Bossman-Pinkrah, has revealed that the pageant has gained significant acceptance and growth across Ghana in recent years.
Speaking on the development of the brand, she explained that Miss Grand Ghana serves as the official national preliminary to Miss Grand International introduced to Ghana in 2022 by its National Director, Abena Akuaba.
According to Zahara-Imani, the journey from its inception to date has been marked by steady progress and increasing public support.
“Between 2022 and 2026, there has been a lot of growth. When we started in 2022, we were new, but we came in strong,” she said.
She noted that while initial support was modest, the response during the most recent edition exceeded expectations.
“The support we received this year was overwhelming. It was everywhere. I’m truly grateful to Ghanaians because people were actively voting, with some even reaching out through our DMs just to participate,” she added.
Highlighting what sets the pageant apart, Zahara-Imani emphasised that Miss Grand Ghana goes beyond traditional beauty contests.
“Miss Grand Ghana is a little different from the usual pageantry. We believe in growth, leaving a legacy, and promoting pageantry beyond the stage,” she stated.
