Fire Aid UK donates fire tender, equipment to the Ghana National Fire Service

The Fire Aid and International Development, United Kingdom, has donated a Mercedes-Benz fire tender and firefighting equipment to the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) at a ceremony held at the Accra International Airport.

According to the Service statement, the donation forms part of broader efforts by Fire Aid and International Development to support capacity building within the GNFS and enhance operational readiness across the country.

The brief but significant event brought together key stakeholders from Ghana and the United Kingdom, underscoring ongoing international cooperation in Ebenezer Okletey Terlabi's rescue services.

In attendance were the Deputy Minister for the Interior, Ebenezer Okletey Terlabi, the Chief Fire Officer of the GNFS, Daniella Mawusi Ntow Sapong, and other senior Directors of the Service.

The UK delegation was led by Robert Somerled Macdougall, Chief Fire Officer, Oxfordshire County Council, and Storms Menri of the British Royal Air Force, whose efforts facilitated the airlifting of the fire tender to Ghana.
