The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the social investment fund, Abass Nurudeen Esq, has stated that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) did nothing wrong by addressing the media before the release of the Bank of Ghana’s report.
In a recent interview, he emphasised that every communication specialist, consultant, or strategist would agree that what the NDC did was a communication master stroke.
“Every communication specialist or consultant or Strategist will see what the NDC has done as a communication master stroke, I think from a political communication point of view, I don't think NDC did anything wrong,” he said.
He added that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) had already been given signals about the line they would take when the auditor’s financial statements were released.
He noted that the government should not be expected to sit idly by while they poison the environment with propaganda before the reports come out.
He claimed that the NPP minority went public with concocted figures even before the audit report was transmitted to the Finance Minister, saying that if they had not addressed the media beforehand, the NPP’s propaganda would have taken root and returning with the true narrative would have been difficult for Ghanaians to understand.
“The NPP minority went to town with those concorted figures even before the transmital of the audit report to the finance minister if not by that time the propaganda would have sunk in and coming back with the true narrative would have been difficult,” he said.
