Parliament to resume sitting on May 21

The Speaker of Parliament, Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin has officially announced the resumption of proceedings by lawmakers on Thursday, May 21, 2026.

In a statement dated Monday, May 4, 2026, the Speaker directed all lawmakers to be at the House by 10:00 a.m. to commence legislative business.

The announcement aligns with order 58 of Parliament’s Standing Orders, which governs the scheduling and notification of sittings.

This resumption will Parliament to address pending bills, motions, and national matters.
